As you all are likely aware, the government didn’t shut down last week. We actually got a spending bill. AND, it’s not terrible. Actually, science and conservation got boosts in most areas. No riders asking for the shutdown of the EPA. No unnecessary revisions to the Endangered Species Act. And increased funding levels for a number of science-related agencies.
I’m going to cheat a little bit with my summary and provide links to places that did it better than I ever could.
If you’re interested in the bill divided by section, go here.
For a Democratic section-by-section review (it provides all the facts as well), go here.
For a Republican section-by-section review (it also provides all the facts), go here.
